BodyFX Trauma Effects

Cuts, burns and wounds...

Trauma make-up is a very specialized form of make-up which is frequently used for film, documentary and first aid training, crime-scene and murder reconstructions and horror shows.

BodyFX special FX artists are trained to make the most realistic looking wounds and burns. We have a wide choice of products to use to fit the scenario, film-shoot or trauma-type. For large trauma, amputations, or trauma in film shoots (continuity issues) we recommend the use of prosthetic wounds from foam latex, gelatine or silicon.

Realistic trauma injuries can be created for first aid training or injury scene recreation for film or documentary purposes Grievous bodily harm of the non-serious nature - stunning trauma effects by BodyFX cangreen

A more exaggerated form of trauma can be found in zombie and vampire make-ups. In these cases the wounds are made with the same professional products but are larger and more "over-the-top".

You can find our BodyFX SpecialFX team present at Halloween parties, Folklore Festivals and other horrible events, to create terrible looking wounds and scars, gunshots and 3rd degree burns that happily come off with baby wipes or cold cream...

Children are often excited about having artificial wounds or scars to scare their parents and other family members.

We organize workshops and classes for high school and tertiary education students. Also we are frequently invited to entertain younger kids with horror stuff on holiday programs and Halloween.

We make sure all the products that we use on kids are safe and easy to remove.

"I have had some excellent feedback on the make up for the day of the competitions. People (including myself) thought the makeup was brilliant !! It was just right to last the whole day"
