Special FX and Prosthetics.
The BodyFX Special FX studios are located in The Moores Valley in Wainuiomata.
Prosthetics in hot foam and latex are being produced to create 3-dimensional make-ups.
The person is completely or partly hidden behind a more or less rigid appliance and becomes even unrecognizable as a human being.

BodyFX has been invited to do special FX, props and Trauma make-up for several TV productions, shows and short films.

Bodypaints with UV paint give a very different special effect. Under UV light only the painted parts of the body light up brightly thus giving the body an entirely new shape.

It is not always neccesary to use porosthetics to create special effects. By using paint techniques you can create a very 3-dimensional effect without using any prosthetics. Sometimes it is so cleverly done that it is difficult to see the human face through the make-up.
